Qatar Foundation Charity Dinner 2010

Project: Charity Dinner 2010 Commemorative book
Client:
Social Development Centre, a member of Qatar Foundation
Description: Commemorative Book design for the Qatar Foundation charity gala dinner event 2010. Dimensions: 32cm x 32cm.
Concept: Design concept was based on the “Seven Letters of Rafidain”, a theme revolving around the ancient civilization of Iraq and being demonstrated through a play, which is the pinnacle of the gala dinner. “The play highlights the era’s greatest minds and fictionalises their stories.” Throughout the book Arabic Calligraphy is used along with old illustrations and sketches to further enhance that idea of story-telling. In addition, the book pages and textured paper have been made to look like parchment paper, whilst still keeping a classy and distinguished feel to the book.

Talise Ottoman Spa

Project: Talise Ottoman Spa welcome kit
Client: Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel
Description: A welcome kit folder designed for the launch of the Talise Ottoman Spa; includes a brochure, stationery suite and all services pamphlets.
Concept: I had to design a welcome kit  that held a brochure along with stationery suite. Since the client wanted to promote this new Spa concept, my idea was to reflect the Ottoman empire with it’s grandeur, luxury and exquisite beauty, in a way that made it appealing to women. I researched the rich colours used in the ancient Ottoman empires as well as the patterns that were widespread throughout their architecture and art. This can be seen in the shades of turqoise and gold and the intricate pattern used.
